Originally from Mission Viejo, California, Markus Diersbock wrote his first
software program in AppleBasic at age 12 on the
classic APPLE ][+.
In 1993 he founded and ran Computer Medics, in Tempe, Arizona, which focused on computer repair, network support,
and custom software development. He consulted for a wide range of clients from small startups to the FORTUNE 500.
In 1997 he sold the company and moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts, to accept a contracting position with MITRE Corporation.
Markus has over 26 years of computer experience, which includes 15 years as a professional network integrator and
software architect. He has extensive experience in contract work with companies
like Ziff-Davis, BIOGEN, and Evergreen Funds (Wachovia Evergreen Investments) for Ajilon Consulting,.
He has also appeared on television numerous times, including NBC and UPN, and in newspaper and magazine articles
focused on home/business systems security and troubleshooting.

- Performed Y2K analysis of all Evergreen Funds (Wachovia Evergreen Investments)

- Co-developed new Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) Retirement application, originally written in Clipper. All program
functionality was maintained and/or enhanced for new system and adhered to strict tiered Federal annual distrubution rules.
- Created Copy/FTP DLL for the development team to re-use with their code, that
transfered files between the mainframe.
- Wrote conversion application for EBCDIC encoded graphic files.
- Wrote proto-type EEC system.
- Helped managers with fixing VBA code issues in various in-house applications for Excel & Access.

- Coded Active Server Pages (ASPs) for Ziff Davis University (www.zdu.com) to the specs of Ziff Davis project leaders,
using Microsoft Visual InterDev

Created "stateless" backend ActiveX DLLs in VB
that ran under Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). Components interacted
with ASPs and Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures.
Created an Email Management Server application that transmitted
daily all of ZDUs outbound student email for
the website. The application communicated with Microsoft
SQL Server and Microsoft
Exchange
Server and processed 5,000 - 12,000 emails a day. The
application alerted managers via
email if errors occured. Logging all transactions.
Created a POP3 mail application to monitor various customer support email
accounts as a back up to the companys CRM mail routing software.
Created a UDP daemon to monitor
errors on the network's Cisco router. The program logged data and sent
Status Report emails to managers at regular intervals. Logged all transactions.
Created a mini-HTTP server add-in to control
the Email Management Server application via a web
browser.
Client: Developer for MITRE Bedford, MA 3/97-3/98)
- Modified existing PERL code on Sun SparcStations and created code for querying
information from the companys world-wide intranet.
- Wrote PERL code for various background monitoring of multiple WAIS servers
processes.
- Wrote VB code for the parsing and modification of HTML files later
ported to PERL.
- Took MITREs world-wide phonebook and created a prototype phonebook that was
demonstrated to Logistics Management Institute for their Intranet. The project was coded
in IDC, HTX and HTML and queried an ACCESS database via ODBC.
Later project was ported to SQL Server and Active Server Pages (ASPs).
- Modified existing PERL code for Job Postings area on public server (www.mitre.org),
Intranet, and Extranet.
- Installed, configured, and administered various Windows NT 4.0 servers.
- Installed and maintained ARCServer on
Backup Server in Data Center.

Owned and managed Computer Medics in Tempe, AZ that
handled onsite support for various companies around the Phoenix-Metro area.

For Chevrolet's largest auto dealership, maintained all PC-based MIS operations. Installed and
supported a Netware 3.12/Windows95 based network that processed Auto
Collision data (CCC) and
transferred the information daily to State Farm Insurance. Network, also, interfaced with
company-wide Reynolds + Reynolds system running Silicon Graphics and HP servers.
Remote communications were implemented for managers. Developed and maintained Internet
Website that allowed perspective and repeat customers to search new and pre-owned vehicle
databases, apply for financing online, and order parts via real-time online purchasing

Advantage Auto Transport, Phoenix, Arizona (Now with SwingNote - Client for 15 yrs)
Developed Auto Transport Logistics front-end module running on DOS/Windows 3.1 based Workstations connecting to a mix of LANtastic 5.0 and 6.0 servers.
Software tracked customer account information, car carrier current positions, carrier
loads, lot inventory statistics, salesperson commissions, and processed on-the-fly faxing
to brokers and controlled Fax Queues. Later the complete package was ported to a VB4.0/Windows95 client platform connecting to Netware 4.1 and Windows NT 4 servers. Remote
communications were supported through T1 connections. Communications Server connected
nightly to over 400 service offices to transfer load data and future logistics

Maintained all MIS operations with hardware that included GIS
systems, MicroStation systems, a UNIX/Clipper server and PC-NFS based network. Developed
